Chapter Four Two White Elephants
Not one, but two white elephants. The sorry tale of the desalination plants, one completely disappeared, demolished before the encroaching sea lapped against its walls. Literally scrapped, only its access road remains, but what a road, a real American style highway.
And the other, opened in 2011 and dead by the end of 2012, flooded out by the tidal wave that is the Almanzora in full spate. It doesn't do to under estimate the power of water! Water always wins.
